My 2 favorite movies of all time, (if all time ended) would be Fresh (1994) and Training Day.

Not “just because Samuel L or Denzel are in it” or any shallow reasons like that. It’s more about the writing and storytelling than the actors, for me. Somebody can watch those two movies and learn everything you need to know about being black in the US.

I’m black, so I identify. Yours may be different. I’d like to know what your favorite two movies are and why, but I won’t ask because I’m not trying to feel stupid if nobody answers or comments. And I doubt anyone will, but that’s cool too. Just journaling.
