There’s a few essentials I don’t leave my hotel room without on vacation.
My phone: Pretty self-explanatory - for communication, GPS, entertainment, capturing quick photos, etc.
Hand cream: Sun exposure and frequent hand washing/sanitizing dries out my skin. I hate the feeling of rough, dry skin on my hands, so I always carry a small lotion with me. I love this Diptyque Philosykos lotion, which has a light fig scent.
Claw Clip: I always carry a claw clip or scrunchie to throw my hair up on hot or windy days because they keep my hair out of my face without causing a big crease.
Hand Sanitizer: I didn’t leave the house without hand sanitizer before the pandemic, but now I make sure I have extra stock when I travel.
Lip Balm: Just like dry hands, I cannot stand having dry lips. I love Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 . I always restock it and have one lying around in every corner of my house. It comes in other scents, but I am partial to the mint.
Hand wipes: Because you never know when a gelato cone is going to go rogue. Or you come across some deliciously messy street food.
Sunscreen: In the summer months, I always have a small sunscreen in my bag for reapplication throughout the day. My dermatologist recommended this La Roche-Posay formula.
Card holder: I don’t like carrying around a bulky wallet. A card holder is a great option for transferring between handbags of all sizes, or just slipping in your pocket when you want to ditch your purse.
Camera: I used to lug around my large Nikon DSLR, but I recently purchased the viral Canon G7X and it has been a great addition to my travel tools. It’s so much more lightweight and fits in most of my bags.
Sunglasses: Protect those beautiful eyes, girlies!
