I’m on my way to the world body painting festival in Klagenfurt, Austria. Last year the flights all wanted me to route to Venice and I was so confused because I was like that’s not the right country wut 🧐 but this year it clicked that there is a direct train from Venice to Klagenfurt that takes about 3 1/2 hours. This is great because I loved Venice when I’ve been before and I would love to go again.

I stayed in an amazing hostel I found on Airbnb Anda Venice Hostel and took the train to Santa Lucia where my connection to Austria would leave from.

I had 3 hours to kill before my train so I walked around the canals and took these beautiful pictures. It was perfect weather and I bought a beautiful Venetian mask at a local artisan shop.

I didn’t get a chance to go to Burano like I wanted but I ate lunch at a nice seaside restaurant and visited a free art museum. I even forgot my mask at the restaurant but when I came back they had it waiting for me! They also let me charge my phone while I ate too which was really nice.

All in all it was a nice day and I’m on the train to my next destination now!
