DIY Barbie dollhouse

For the last few months I’ve been thinking about making my daughter a Barbie dollhouse. The Barbie dream house is around $200 and I just don’t think it’s worth that price for what you get.

We had an extra cube shelf so I started with that. There were three shelves and it was the perfect amount of space to start with. But I knew I wanted to go bigger! I found this asymmetrical cube shelf at target for $36! It’s usually $45 but I got it on sale. Cant beat that price!

Not only will this be a fun project for me to dive into, and to express my creativity, but it’s something fun I can do with my daughter. I was originally going to do this as a Christmas gift but I was too excited to wait. I figured I could always buy new furniture or accessories for the house for Christmas.

I’ve already made so many changes to the Barbie house since these pics were taken and I can’t wait to share the transformation here!
