10TH YEAR INTO OUR MARRIAGE, HOW IS IT GOING? 🧐

Marriage is a journey, and it's different for every

couple. Korang ingt lagi the challenges of the first 5 years - adjusting, starting a family, financial etc. However, once the 10th year is reached, a new set of challenges datang.

1️⃣ Our priorities, needs and expectations changes. Tbh, we’re more focus on our career, on our achievement. So when I needed to deliver something for work, I expect him to cover the family thing for me and vice versa.

2️⃣ After 10 years, you akan tend to give in or malas nak prolong conflict to maintain peace at home. This is not a healthy, as conflict need to be resolved with communication hence the micro date idea is working!

3️⃣ The stress level after dah makin berumur pun different. With higher expectations at work, things can get overwhelmed so we’ll give each others’ space. Bila dh cool down, baru la we’ll talk about it.

4️⃣ After 10 years, couples may find it more difficult to maintain intimacy sebab penat. When we return home exhausted, I often take the longest shower while my spouse looks for my home cooked meal. This way, we can reduce our fatigue and bond immediately.
