my FIRST set of extensions: home-salon review 💅🏻🎀

i have never been a big fan of doing my nails, but this year i decided i wanted to try something new and try getting extensions! i always envied those aesthetic nails i kept seeing on ig and pinterest, and really wanted to get a pretty set of nails too!

introducing KEFI STUDIO - a home based nail salon based in the west (WESTIES THIS IS FOR YOU) but even as an eastie, i found the travel to be really worth it ♡

the nail tech, nicole, was really easy to talk to, and was open to me sharing about my concerns with having long nails, and also the ideas i had in mind for my nails. she opted to give me some shorter extensions which would be a great transition into learning how to function with long nails! for a nail extension beginner like me, having this level of care from my nail tech really helped make the process enjoyable.

the process!

🍓 unlike other reviews i have read where the nail techs are rough during filing, nicole made sure to check with me if she was causing any pain, or if i felt uncomfortable

🍓i felt really comfortable letting her do what she does best with my nails, and she was clear in explaining the colour choices, letting me see a test of the colours and deciding if that was what i liked before committing to it

🍓my favourite part was definitely when she used the airbrush tool to apply the blush effect on my nails! even after she was very thorough in making sure any nail polish that landed on my nails was properly cleaned off!

🍓she also has really steady hands to draw with that tiny brush, and was open to my input (eg. the style of the art, and if i felt like the heart was a little slanted). i was thankful that my nail tech didn’t settle for work that was less that amazing 😍😍

overall i’m super happy with my nails, and really appreciate the care that nicole put into crafting these nails! i would say that her prices are quite reasonable as well (more info about her rates in the pic above)

she also does a variety of styles, which i have included some other pictures from her portfolio above!

if you stay in the west, or don’t mind making the trip over for some good quality nails, i’d really recommend her! + she also offers lash lifts and extensions! (more info on her ig)
