gentlewoman for the office lady? 💄 tote bag review

is this another lemon8 gentlewoman tote review? yes it is! but i’m here to give one from the perspective of an office going lady!! is this THE go to working woman bag for you? or is it just suited for casual use?

i recently bought the gentlewoman canvas tote bag ($12 USD) from their online store, and i’ve been so so so excited to try out this bag as a new potential working woman office bag!!

some pros using the GW tote as an office bag:

✅ comfy straps that don’t cut into your shoulder too badly even if the bag is holding many things

✅ big enough for my 13 inch ipad and laptop

✅ wider top and narrow bottom so it’s easier to find things (especially things that fall to the bottom)

✅ pairs well with any fit! even though the bag is casual, it has a higher end brand vibe that can suit more office/ business-ish looks

cons using the GW tote as an office bag

🤡 no compartment for small items! (can find those bag compartment inserts that other people mention in their reviews)

🤡 bag has no base! when i carry my heavy laptop/ipad it warps the shape of the bag. + no protection from the bottom

also the tote is pretty sizable, which is good if you wanna hold lots of things, but not so good if your work space in the office is small! i have my own cubicle so that’s not a problem, but i foresee people who are working in more open layouts with shared table space having a problem, especially if you are picky about putting your bag on the floor!

overall this bag is a good buy for its price. i will continue using it as an office bag, but it definitely may not work for everyone depending on your office needs/ working space
