ice cream cafe hidden behind a vending machine? 🍨🚪

just a quick walk from bouna vista mrt is a cute pastel ice cream cafe called 2nd Serving. following the korean concept of the hidden cafe, this place comes with a door built to resemble that of a vending machine. (although it’s not that hidden thanks to the big sign above it)

$4.50 for single scoop, $8 for double scoop (and there’s 1-for-1 on burpple!!)

what we tried:

🍰 raspberry cheesecake flavour

- appearance wise it looks really good

- had bits of biscuit crumbs that added nice texture and reminded me of the cookie dough in ben and jerries' ice cream

- strawberry bits that had a slight sour taste that complemented the sweetness of the ice cream!

- not too jelat

🫖 earl grey lavender

- not too jelat and no overly strong tea taste

- comes in very very chio colours

- a pretty basic flavour but it’s a nice palette cleanser!

✨ambiance✨

we went on a thursday evening and overall it was quite quiet, there being only two other people in the store. The pastel vibes make the place very bright and cheerful. There is also a small photo spot for you to take a pic of your ice cream!

overall a pretty good find and i would totally go back to try their other flavours.
