tech sales as an introvert 😶‍🌫️🤕

i have been doing tech sales for 3 years now, and i have heard many people, including my own boss, telling me that one key trait to have as a successful salesperson is to be ✨outgoing✨ close ones know that im a true blue homebody slob, and im a little ashamed of that 🤣 let me just share 2 points today: why im doing sales and what i like out of it for my fellow introverts who're curious about this line!

▪️i had wanted to do sales to step out of my comfort zone

almost every salesperson i have come across gets slabbed with the stereotype that they're doing this for the 💰. i stepped into this role by sheer naivety - that the more i find myself socially awkward, the more im gonna prove that i can get comfortable with this. and what better role to take up than to choose sales~ tbh i think wherever you go, you'd require interacting with people, and sales is a good training ground to start off w all that soft skills you'd need in later part of your career :)

▪️sense of fulfillment when you've won the trust of your clients

more often than not, sales can be a pretty thankless job. dont get me started on the internal fire to put out amongst your coworkers...but all it takes is just that few clients who affirm you for all that you're doing, thank you for your service and buying it not just for the product - they're buying YOU and how you represent yourself. as a meaning seeker, this puts a smile on my face! 🙂

i can go on but these are the two pointers that stood out, because a client made my day today. 🥰
