Personally the winter can be a tough time for me. Of course I love the holidays and all of the festive things going on. But the fact that it’s such a chaotic time can also be overwhelming.

Plus the way it gets dark so early is not helping anyone 🥴

Here are 3 things that help me feel a little bit better during this crazy time.

1. Waking up earlier + heading to the gym first thing in the morning if I can. Waking up just a little bit earlier and making sure I get as much sunlight in my day as possible has been soooo helpful to me. Also starting off the day with movement + getting the gym out of the way is so nice because by the time it’s dark out at like 4pm I can just relax + destress from the day.

2. Make sure you’re eating good quality foods + staying hydrated. What you are putting into your body is going to have a direct effect on your overall health and how you feel everyday. Eat nutritious foods that are going to keep your health + mood elevated.

3. Spend time with people who uplift you. This one is honestly so underrated !! Having people around that bring good energy is so much more helpful than you think. I’m telling you..even when you don’t feel like leaving the house. DO IT. Do some fun holiday things. Force yourself to get out sometimes with friends/family. You’ll feel so much better - I promise.
