Step 5: early readers for feedback if interested in doing this

Step 6: revise based on feedback

Step 7: THEN begin writing your query letter. Don’t think of this before you’re ready!

Major tip: research agents and publishers before looking for an illustrator to learn if you need to have this done before you query. For some, the answer is no.

If you want to self-publish, there are websites to research illustrators. Don’t think about this until you’re ready either!
