I found the most beautiful lake in Idaho!

I’ve explored a majority of the United States and, in my opinion, this place is really up there with one of the most beautiful lakes in the country. Alice Lake is located in the middle of Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho. It’s about 2.5-3 hours away from Boise, and the trailhead is called “Tin Cup Trailhead” located in the back of Pettit Lake Campground. This was super easily accessible. There were two parking lots but I recommend arriving before 8am if possible as many people begin the hike late morning to backpack in.

I recommend downloading a map of the national forest within Google Maps before getting there, and pin the places you want to go in advance. There is no service almost completely throughout the sawtooth range, so having everything downloaded beforehand allows you to navigate within the park. I also downloaded a bunch of music and podcasts for the drive in & the hike up!
