does the hair curling scrunchie really work? 💭

hey guys! i’m excited to share this post because i’ve been seeing this curling scrunchie on IG and here as well and i was really curious to try it out!

as i have permed hair, i was looking for an easy, fuss free way to maintain my curls. i also don’t use any products on my hair apart from shampoo and conditioner, so i was interested to see if this could help!

i purchased a super affordable one off of shopee because i didn’t want to spend too much on something that didn’t work. it came with a sheet of instructions which i actually found super helpful when i was trying it out the first time!

i started off with damp hair and tied my hair according to the instructions as much as possible. i did find it a bit challenging to loop my hair around at first, but i eventually got it down. after tying, it was extremely tight and secure which i was happy about!

when i woke up the next morning, the scrunchie was still in place which was a good sign! i was surprised to see how bouncy my curls were and it did look as though i already did my hair. the curls were maintained even after brushing out which was nice, but i do think this was mainly due to my permed hair.

overall, i really like it and i’d continue using it! it was super affordable and worked much better than i expected! let me know if you’ve tried this in the comments 🤍
