Hey zesties, effective 1 on 1 meetings with your manager can be a game-changer in your professional growth! After working for a couple of years I’ve realised this is how to make the most of those session. Here are some tips to have an effective session ☺️

1️⃣ Set up a working document and prepare an outline on what you want to discuss. Prepare a list of topics, questions, or concerns you want to address. Eg. Key priorities for the week? What went well recently? General feedback and concerns? Career growth goals?

- How productive were you last week? Any struggles?

2️⃣ Communicate and actively listen. Go through the discussion points on your working document. Actively listen to your manager's feedback, guidance, and instructions. Be open and transparent about your work progress, challenges, and aspirations.

3️⃣ Collaborate on action plans. Use the 1 on 1 session as an opportunity to seek guidance and feedback from your manager. Discuss any obstacles you're facing and together, set goals, define expectations, and establish a timeline for achieving them.
