we planned a short trip to penang since my family was free! heres what we did as a family of 4 π«π
π DAY 1οΈβ£
our flight to penang got delayed so we could only make it for the πFarlim Wednesday Night Market, there were so many food stalls here, loklok, desserts, sushi bake, laksa, seafood, korean food & MORE π€€π€€
π DAY 2οΈβ£
we woke up at 430am to get ready to catch the sunrise at πPenang Hill π΄ we booked a grab at 6am, reached the ticketing area around 615am (we bought tickets online so we just had to collect the qr code), & boarded the funicular around 630am! its a little cold once you reach the top so make sure to bring your outerwear 𫨠we watched the sun rise from 630-730am & it did not disappoint ππ
we found this βhiddenβ cafe πGinger Garden Cafe @ Penang Hill that operates 7am-7pm daily & had some morning coffee there before heading to πKota Penang Hill for some breakfast π³
after that we went to πKek Lok Si Temple & went all the way up β¬οΈ we reached around noon time so it was pretty sunny βοΈ
we had lunch at πpicco polo cafe before walking theπarmenian street, there were a few curated/ vintage & food stores but we were too full π΄ we went back to rest after that because we all woke up really early πββοΈ
we headed out again around 630pm to go to πThe TOP Penang, Theme Park Penang , (this is diff from penang hill! we bought tickets for this not knowing theyβre located at diff places :β( ) we bought tickets on klook in advance for the skywalk + skybridge + observatory deck π we stayed there till 8pm to watch the sky turn dark π
we had dinner at πChina House & they had paper & crayons for us to doodle while waiting for the food, so cute!!π
π DAY 3οΈβ£
we woke up a little later today & had brunch at πPenang Road Famous Laksa & dessert at πpenang road famous teochew chendul, what a combi π€© def a must try, especially the laksa & the char kuey teowπ€€
we grabbed to πFujiyama Jeans & Tokyo No.18, they had a bunch of vintage clothes, accessories, bags, cameras, vinyls & shoes! on the pricier side so i didnβt get anything but very pretty place ποΈββοΈ
it started raining so we went to πgurney paragon mall for some shopping~ & had a super late 4pm lunch at πhai di lao π½οΈ
for dinner we got some food from family mart because we were too full from lunch πββοΈ
π DAY 4οΈβ£
we had breakfast at πKedai P.66 at 11am, its a cute space with stationery goods & a small cafe at the back!
after this we went to theπhin market around 12pm, check out my previous post for this π 10/10 recommend to visit, we spent a good 2hrs here before heading to the πice cafeβοΈ at 2pm, will honestly not recommend to come here, the place is really run down & the photospots arent that great too, but the ice cream serving was pretty huge! βοΈ
in the evening as we were walking along the seaside we spotted πdear box !! pretty underwhelmed with the blind boxes because we wanted soft toys instead π§Έ, drinks were pretty good though!
we had dinner at this wooden hot pot place, i dont remember whats the name πππ but its located at πkarpal singh drive !!
for our last night we rode these motorcycle things that were available for rent along the sea side! you have to cross over a bridge to a seafood place & you can rent the bikes there ποΈ
π DAY 5οΈβ£
took the earliest flight back to sg & slept π΄π΄π΄
