My Thoughts After Getting My First Ever Tablet...

Girlies! I’ve gotten myself a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and I’ve been using it for the past week. Decided to share my thoughts because I’d actually been contemplating for several months before finally purchasing it!!

First things first, the display on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is absolutely stunning. With a 11-inch Super AMOLED display, the colors are vibrant and the tablet's 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel buttery smooth. It's truly a feast for the eyes! The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 comes with 8GB of RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 chipset, making it a powerful device for multitasking and running demanding apps. And if battery life is a concern for you, then you'll be pleased to know that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has an impressive 8,000 mAh battery that can easily last a full day of use. I also really enjoyed the fact that they had a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side, as it made it really easy for me gain access to my phone! Apparently they also redesigned the S Pen to make it more comfortable to hold and use. However, what amazed me the most was the fact that it is stored magnetically on the back of the tablet which was a really nice touch. On a side note, my dumb ass thought that it was magnetically stuck to the tablet case (which it isn’t) and I ended up dropping my S Pen in the first 10 minutes of me unboxing the tab lol.

On the other hand, personally to me the tablet is considered quite expensive. It’s approximately RM 3,300 and could go up for more if you opted for the S8+ or the Ultra. Plus this model only comes with 128GB, which is okay for me i guess, but I know most people frown at the idea of it being only 128GB. If you’re someone that listens to music a lot and needs a headphone jack, then you might be a bit sad or disappointed to find out that this tab doesn’t come with a headphone jack….. I don’t use it very often (plus, even if I do, I use wireless earphones). However, they do have 4 stereo speakers and are tuned by AKG. In terms of the camera setup, I haven’t actually given it a go because I rather use my phone to snap pics, just cause… you know it’s much smaller and easier for me to hold on to during photoshoots hahaha. But I have heard that the camera is decent, but nothing really fancy.

Overall, I still really like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and I think that it’s a great tablet. I’ve also noticed that owning a tablet is really so convenient! I’ve also been putting aside more time to upskilling myself, as well as to work on my side hustles after working hours because of how quick it is for me to use the tablet. I used to dread it because after a long day of work, I’d still have to head home and turn on my laptop (which takes quite some time) just to start work (again). Personally, if I was back in college/uni, owning a tablet like this would’ve been more than enough for me already (but i mean ofc price would’ve still been a concern). Also, it may be a bit expensive cause I also have friends telling me that with the same amount of money, I could’ve probably gotten an iPad instead. (but I’m an Android lover so don’t bother changing my mind sksksk). So yeah, that’s about it from me! I hope this little sharing of mine is somewhat helpful! Share your thoughts with me too!!
