Who doesn’t like real life spooky stuff!! True crime is one of my favorite genres. I’m always down to read about some bad dude and their crimes. Dark and twisty is my jam and I’m not afraid to show it.

Fun fact, people have been fascinated by true crime even before the Jack the Ripper killings. We as a species just eat this stuff up. Probably morally wrong in some areas, but we’re fascinated by the unmentionables.

In case you can’t read the titles, listed in order are:

In His Garden by Leo Demore

A Father’s Story by Lionel Dahmer

People Who Eat Darkness by Richard Lloyd Parry

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

The Franklin Coverup by John DeCamp

A Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule

Another fun fact, in the blurb I mention that my grandma had faint memories of In His Garden. She couldn’t remember much of the story other than he buried them in a place he called his garden. I searched countless book pages and google and libraries and internet sleuths looking for the name of this book. After months of searching we found it. Read it. And was horrified. She said it was worse than she remembered it being. So that’s fun.

On a personal side note, my posts are going to be a bit sparse and random. I had some major life changes that resulted in me fleeing my home and leaving behind over 1000 of my personal books. My little library has shrunk. And it makes me very sad. But I will do my best to keep posting even if it means I can’t show you a physical book.

Back to my regularly scheduled shenanigans, if you like snarky, sarcastic, sometimes funny book reviews and recommendations, hit that follow button, because there’s more where that came from.
