I prefer the edge lux because it provides a strong hold which is perfect for sleek and long-lasting styles. Does it flake? There is Minimal to none flaking with this product, it is designed for a strong hold without leaving residue.

The edge booster adds volume and fullness with a good hold, but it’s slightly lighter than the Edge Lux. This product can occasionally cause white flakes, especially if applied in excess or on top of other products and I hate that. But If you have both the rainbow shine n jam and the edge booster I saw a TikTok hack that involved mixing them together for the ultimate hold.

The true edge plus is OKAY it offers a natural shine and smooth finish, great for everyday use but not as strong in the holding department. The flaking is generally low, but it can happen if the product is not applied evenly or if too much is used be careful with this because she will cause excessive buildup.

I like the Shine n Jam for its amazing scent, and its glossy finish, this is good for a shiny look however it doesn’t have the strongest hold in my opinion, for 4c hair. I do prefer the red or yellow jar of shine n jam over the rainbow line for a stronger hold. The flaking situation is Minimal. This product is formulated to provide a glossy finish without flaking.

TIP: To minimize flaking, try applying a small amount first and ensure your hair is clean and free of other product build-up.
