3 things you MUST do in PORTO 🇵🇹

a year ago i visited porto, portugal for my birthday & til this day i still miss my time there 😭😭 i spent a week there, which is more than enough, but i took my time to explore & immerse in their colourful culture 🚃 here are #MyTop3 things you should do in porto!! (i have enough for a part 2, let me know if you’re interested)

1️⃣ SAILING ALONG DUORO RIVER

easily the highlight of my trip!! i felt like the main protagonist in a movie. it was a chill 2h ride as the waters were relatively calm. our hosts were AMAZING 🥰 they provided us with wine, snacks (i was hooked on the cured sausage) & blankets to keep us warm. we saw the prettiest sunset!! 🌅 i have no regrets booking the sunset slot even though i had to pay more for it (SGD73). there was a bluetooth speaker too, so we could blast any tunes we wanted 🎶 i booked it thru airbnb & i would book it again if i’m back in porto

i had a lovely chat with one of the hosts & she recommended me a seafood place for dinner. seafood is a MUST TRY when you’re in porto. i had the best squid 🦑 in my life at restaurante vapor.

2️⃣ BEACH HOPPING

porto has several beaches & they were so awe-inspiring. the waves were HUGE, so blue & they crashed loudly against the shore 🌊 it was still a little too cold to swim in may so i was perfectly fine walking along the beaches & taking some photos. but you can see other people getting a bit of sun ☀️

3️⃣ SERRALVES FOUNDATION

i have an interest in art so i always visit cultural institutions in the countries i’m in. this place is a jam-packed park that houses a museum, the serralves villa (came for this pink building!) & house of cinema etc. admission is 50% OFF for STUDENTS so i paid €12 (~SGD15.60). it’s fine if you’re an international student as long as you have your id! i spent a good few hours here exploring so i think it’s worth the $
