An Ode to Serena’s Iconic Looks in Gossip Girl 🧥

Hello again, ladies! 💖

I think by now everyone knows how ✨obsessed✨ I am with the iconic TV show, Gossip Girl and everything that revolves around it. However, do you know that Serena Van Der Woodsen is my most hated character? 👀

I know that Blair has done bad things too but I hate the fact that Serena can’t let the spotlight shine on anyone else except her which results to her stealing whatever Blair had — like her long term boyfriend, Nate (!!!!!), her mother (that’s not Serena’s fault actually but STILL 🙄), the ‘Queen Bee’ title at Constance Billard when Blair invented the whole monarchy system herself and I could go on and on. #certifiedhater 🫢

HOWEVER, I have to admit that she has nice hair… And there are plenty of great Serena’s effortless looks that come to mind when thinking about Gossip Girl. Some were so good they’re hard to forget.

Look 1: The Pilot

This is when she made her first appearance in this iconic Grand Central Terminal outfit. The first time we see Serena in the show, she’s in an outfit that doesn't do justice to her style in later seasons. Still, it’s a good look, and it’s actually attainable.

Look 2: The School Uniform

While Blair kept her school uniforms looking extra preppy, Serena always added accessories that made hers look more casual in a very Kate Moss way.

Look 3: The Boho Style

Serena is easily the queen of casual outfit. With the hat, mini skirt, and vest, this outfit couldn’t be more early 2000's.

Look 4: The Walk of Shame

Oh boy, apart from stealing Blair’s things, Serena is known to steal her one night stand’s shirts too 👀
