Welcome to my first entry, friends!

Yes, the moment you read this is the moment that you and I become friends + my friends usually call me Qila 👋🏻

As your friend, what if I tell you a little secret that you can actually create different looks with the same dress and make it look like 7 different dresses? I get that sometimes it gets pretty boring wearing the same clothes again and again and unfortunately sometimes our bank account balance forbids us from doing the best thing ever (read: shopping, duh). But even if we have enough money, why waste money on clothes that we only wear 1-3 times? Why not create something new with the existing clothes we have? After all, sustainability is the only way ahead.

So, “how?” did you ask?

I have gathered 7 ways to style unique looks with just one piece of dress and the dress of the day is the Lundi dress in the colour Oat (refer to second photo in the carousel) by Petit Moi, a local clothing brand of modest, modern and timeless pieces.

1. Old Money Aesthetic

Nothing screams old money more than a matching pair of pearl accessories as seen in the photo #3 in the carousel. To accentuate the waist, I added a thin white belt and tuck out the upper part of the dress to give a little volume and dimension to the dress. Then, I paired it with a pearl white clutch bag and kitten heels that I got from Shopee for less than RM30! #oldmoneybutshopsatshopee

2. Little Miss Bookworm

With just a pearl white headband, knitted crop top and again, thin white belt, I turned out to be quite preppy, eh? Let’s be honest, I am not a bookworm but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to look like one. *winks

3. Librarian Chic

Similar to Little Miss Bookworm, but on the serious side. For this look, I layered the Lundi dress with 2 tops: brown knitted sweater and plain white shirt underneath it. If you’re going somewhere breezy, this would be the perfect outfit to wear!

4. The Hopeless Romantic

She’s all about that fairy-tale life and ready to be swept off of her feet in this romantic pairing of a moss polkadot chiffon slip dress layered on top of the Lundi dress. Oh, you know I never forget the belt!

5. Upper East Side Mom

As simple as layering the Lundi dress with a plain white shirt, cinch your waist with a belt, tie your hair up in a clean + sleek bun – et voila, you’re Lily van der Woodsen!

6. Goth Cottagecore

We have tried layering the dress with a chiffon slip dress, but how about a corduroy dress? Instant upgrade! While this retro fabric has long been considered a basic, but this look is definitely not. *winks

7. Pirate Core

I would like to think that Elizabeth Swann from the Pirates of the Carribean is looking at me proudly when I added this underbust corset paired with lots of gold accessories on top of the Lundi dress. Like.. Can we be friends?!

If you would like to purchase the same Lundi dress from Petit Moi at RM20 off, you can use my promo code PETITMOIQILA20 – I am wearing XS, btw!

That’s all for now. See you in my next entry!

XOXO,

QILAQLA
