hands down to the BEST ramen! you snooze you lose

here’s a hidden jem in tanjong pagar! walking into enishi (originated from kobe, japan) brings back good memories, most ramen shops in japan are literally hole-in-the-walls and this one is no exception, with only 9 seats surrounding the open kitchen. there are only 2 items on the menu, ☝🏼Dan Dan Noodles and ✌🏼Japanese Dashi Noodles (both @ $19.80)

they only serve 100 bowls a day and thank goodness i made it!! being their last customer on a saturday afternoon was my biggest achievement of a shitty week😂

they are famous for their dan dan noodles so i had to order that. mine was medium spicy! YOU CAN ADD RICE TO THE LEFTOVER SAUCE WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR NOODLES! ( i was so full, the economical aunty in me, wished that i could dabao and eat for my next meal 🌝 but gentle reminder, they were included in japan’s michelin guide bib gourmand list, i couldn’t bring myself to dabao)

HANDMADE NOODLES WERE SUPER CHEWY AND THE MIX OF ALL INGREDIENTS WITH THEIR SPECIAL SAUCE IS INSANE. there were 3 types of vinegar on the table (kelp, orange and chilli), i added the kelp vinegar and their homemade chili paste for extra oomph 🥲 anyhoo, it’s so legit! PLEASE TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!

there are only 2 stores worldwide, 🇸🇬 Singapore 🇯🇵Kobe, Japan!!
