Although fashion trends come and go, denim is one item that will always be a staple in our wardrobes. The one piece of clothing that seems to be here to stay—and we want it to—is denim.

Any occasion may be dressed up or down with denim. You can pair denim with practically anything you find in your closet, from outdoor picnics to casual workplace attire. Any jean skirt can seem current and cool if the proper style, cut, and wash are chosen (more on that later), and the ideal accessories are carefully chosen. Find a skirt that serves more as a neutral in this situation (i.e., avoid acid wash, severe distressing, or too short hemlines), then structure the rest of your outfit around it.
