❌🥲 please don’t do lashes @ KSL!

Helloo, just sharing my bad lash experience:

I was in JB on a weekday and decided to do my lashes since I’m already there. Why not, right 🙃 Read a few reviews on lemon8 mentioning I Be Own. They have several outlets and I went to the one at level 2.

Honestly, the counter guy and the lady who did my lashes were nice. The lady was an older Vietnamese woman and she was friendly, complimented my brows and gave me advice on what length I should do. She got to work and finished in ABOUT 30MINS… that’s when I realised she used those lash that come in clusters (?) hence it was so quick 🥲

When I opened my eyes it was rlly stinging and I teared up but this went away in less than 10mins. Again, the lady was nice/enthusiastic, checked my eyes and took pics of my lash set. I paid RM128 and left.

A few hours later I started feeling like my eyes were so dry and the lashes were lowkey poking me. I spammed eye drops but it was not helping the dryness at all - probably bc the lash band was not stuck well and it was lowkey kinda thick or what idk. I have no idea why it felt like this, but I didn’t have a good feeling about it cos I never felt this way with my other sets… it was always light and fluttery.

I searched up some other reviews (see last 2 pics) and found some that mentioned how heavy and uncomfortable the lashes were, and these girls got them removed soon after.

I already have dry eyes to begin with and I know how frustrated I’d be if I continued having these lashes… I made an SOS appointment with a lash tech (@winxylash) that I did with before, and thankfully she accepted 🥲 She’s rlly rlly good, managed to remove all of it within an hour and my eyes feel so much better 😮‍💨 highly recommend yall to check out her page — her lashes are affordably priced in the $50+ range and she always has promotions✨🥹

My takeaways:

1) Only do lash at trustable home-based businesses or salons run by owners themselves (not those chain stores with many employees if you know what I mean)

2) If it seriously irritates your eyes, just remove it immediately. Eye health > money spent on lash 🙃
