A famous & delicious dish in Honduras. Heres how i make it! 🩷
• I start by adding my meat to a hot pan to cook.
• I cut my green pepper , onion , and culantro ( like cilantro ) to have ready to be added.
• Put eggs to start to boil to make hard boiled eggs.
• Begin to season your meat! Season how you like but I added the seasonings I used for the meat in the second slide.
• Cut up my potatoes to be ready to add in right before meat is fully brown. ( If you cut the potatoes bigger they take longer to cook, try to cut small)
• Add half a can of tomato paste. ( or the whole can up to you ) then add 1/2 cup of water or add water to the can and add to meat so it can boil. Keep checking on meat & add water if necessary due to the Meat absorbing the sauce.
• Add Sazon as well as re-adding a bit of seasonings. I used pepper , adobo , and garlic powder , garlic & herbs , and steak seasoning in this step.
• Now while your meat boils , start to make your sauce! This sauce is made with ( no exacts ) Mayo, Little bit of mustard so it doesnt overpower, ketchup, ground white pepper( or pepper ), salt , and milk.
• Get your toppings ready. Some cut up lettuce/cabbage your preference. ( add lime , salt & pepper to cabbage or lettuce )
• Peel & Cut up your hardboiled eggs.
Now your meat and toppings are ready to plate!
• Grab a Tostada & heat the tostada for 15 seconds in the microwave . ( or make your own by making corn tortillas and frying them )
• To the tostada add your meat & potatoes first. Now add your lettuce/cabbage , eggs, cheese ( your choice of cheese , this is Honduran cheese) & add your sauce.
