red hair!!! 🍒

if ur looking for a sign to dye your hair, this is it!! i’ve had my hair red for 2 years & this is how i keep up with it! 🙂‍↕️

products 🛒:

- hair dye tools

- gloves

- 2 clairol bleach powder packets

- clairol 20 volume developer

- 1 adore hair dye in ‘truly red 60’

steps🍒:

1. i section my hair so it’s easier to work through!

2. mix your bleach powder & developer, should be an almost lotion-like consistency, not too runny but not thick like a paste!

3. use the brush to apply bleach throughout your roots!

4. i like to use my fingers to gently massage and work the bleach into my hair to make sure it’s even.

5. after it’s lightened to ur liking , rinse out bleach & shampoo to make sure it’s all gone!

6. i don’t use the brushes for the red dye, i find it easier to section and squeeze it directly onto my head, using my fingers to massage/comb it through!

7. let it sit for at least 30 mins to get as even & bright as possible!

8. wash out with cool water & ur done!!!

tips 🍒:

1. first tip is to work on not-clean hair! i find my scalp is less likely to burn and itch if my hair is a bit oily, to protect ur skin! (if it’s clean use hair oil)

2. this tip is for the curly haired girlies, i highly recommend going through your hair and dividing it into small sections , and tie them at the ends with small elastics beforehand! i find it easier to just flip through the pre parted hair than struggle to section while im bleaching!! 😭

4. use a low developer! if not this exact brand try to stay within the 20-30 range for developer, its a lot gentler and safer for ur hair especially if ur natural!

5. if your hair feels dry and brittle after, follow up with a protein mask/treatment & it’ll help bring your health back!
