Once bitten, twice shy, third a fool

And I will not be a fool 😂

I was first introduced to Sunday Staples by my bestie back in 2021. The designs are nice and I finally gave them a try in Dec, purchasing a pair of Sonder heels. Little did I know that this pair of heels only have a lifespan of 3 months 😅

After a few wears, the in sole started peeling. I tried gluing it back in my own but it kept peeling and the leather for the straps came undone too, so I decided to throw it away. At that point I didn’t reach out to CS , I just threw the heels away and blame it on bad luck.

2 years later, I saw that they are running a warehouse sale and 2 pairs of sandals/heels caught my eye. It has alrdy been 2 years, the quality should’ve improved, I thought. So I decided to give them a try again, purchasing both pairs of footwear.

I was proven wrong.

Keisha strappy sandals is still ok as of now, but the strap on the right foot is weirdly constructed such that when worn, the sandals slants to towards the left and part of my right heel will not be stepping on the sandal when I walk. I have to either endure the discomfort or adjust it every other step which is a hassle. Due to this, I don’t wear it often.

Tessie twist heels was such a disappointment. After wearing for 5 times, the in sole started peeling and one of the straps even came off. I should’ve taken a picture before my DIY session of glueing all those back. Not sure how much longer have I extended it’s lifespan though 😂

Granted these are bought on sale, but I still expected better quality. I didn’t reach out to CS too since I bought these during sales and I expected the usual reply of no exchanges or refund for sale items. I’ll just take it as a lesson learnt and have also came into the conclusion that Sunday Staples is just not for me.

My Taobao and Shopee heels that costs a fraction of their price have lasted way longer and are still in great condition now. 😉
