why i decorate my dresser

sometimes i walk into a friend’s room, and i see that the top of their dresser is completely bare. and my first question is: why??

along with bedside tables, i love using the top of my dresser for little trinkets, decor, organization and maybe even a bit of storage holding.

for example: i’ve moved a lot lately and haven’t been able to buy my own bookshelf to take with me. i also had to leave some books behind in my move. but my books are still important to me and i want them to be on display! i’ve been keeping them in a lil row on my dresser and it adds so much to my room.

don’t be afraid to use up that empty space!!! i’m a maximalist at heart (tried the minimalism thing. wasnt for me AT ALL lol) so it’s great to have a space for my trinkets, jewelry, etc. a little messy? sure. cluttered? maybe. but it’s cute and it’s mine and i love it! and that’s what matters :)
