How To Start Scripture Writing & How I Do It

When I first started Bible Journaling I would always hear about scripture writing- but I was always too intimidated to start! It seemed very overwhelming.

I quickly learned that there’s a bunch of different ways to do it, and none of them are wrong! ☺️

Here’s how I like to scripture write. Hope it helps!

🤓 YOU WILL NEED:

🖊️ A Pen

🖍️ Markers

🤍 Stickers or Washi Tape (optional)

🗒️ A Notebook

📱 Internet Access

✝️ Your Bible

When I sit down to scripture write it’s because I’m going through something major in my life. I’m feeling a lot of emotions, maybe I’m excited about something or nervous. Here are my steps-

1. Google a Bible verse for your specific emotion. For example, “Bible verses for health” “Bible verses for anxiety” or “Bible verses about relationships”.

2. Choose one that stands out to you and really speaks to your heart.

3. Pray on your situation and ask God to help you through it.

4. Write the verse down and decorate the page however you’d like.

5. On the back of that page, write a little journal entry about all of your thoughts/emotions and why you chose that verse.
