🤧 got cheated by another viral cafe on TikTok 😮‍💨

I was sooooo excited when I saw so many videos on TikTok saying that Keong Saik Bakery has the BEST truffle mac and cheese in SG. I’m a mac and cheese hoe so when I saw it I was like ?! well I’ve gotta try it out myself?! 🤩

We heard that their truffle mac and cheese can get sold out pretty early in the day so we actually reached the cafe at 10AM. Thankfully there wasn’t a queue and we were able to find a table immediately.

⭐️ 𝗪𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱:

Truffle Mac & Cheese ($15.90)

Osmanthus Lychee Cake ($8.40)

Iced Kopi Susu ($5.50)

Iced Lychee Lemon Tea ($6.50)

⏱️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲

We were quite puzzled that it took them 20 mins to serve us our cake and our drinks 🤨 We didn’t chase them for it but when it arrived and we looked at the time on the receipt, it dawned on us that we actually already waited 20 mins for them to serve us cake. The Truffle Mac & Cheese took about 40 mins to arrive (to be fair this one they gave a heads up and said we’ll need to wait 15 mins so we were already prepared to wait for this one but… 40 mins?! 💢)

Honestly after trying a fair share of Mac & Cheese dishes from diff cafes, there was really nothing special about this?! After all the hype on TikTok I was really convinced that I would find my new fav Mac & Cheese cafe but I felt so UNDERWHELMED 😔🫠 The cake 🍰 was decent, but not something I would crave for again. The Iced Kopi Susu ☕️ is just inflated kopitiam coffee but ok I understand the pricing because they need to account for the cafe rent, staff, etc. The only saving grace from this lot is the Iced Lychee Lemon Tea 🍹that’s actually good.

💭 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁

Well, I can’t find a reason to want to come back again. There just isn’t anything I’ve tried that would make me crave to come back again + the waiting time is honestly a little bit too long.
