From telling me she needs time to wash up after gatecrash, to fussing over her hairstyle and make up, to going ahead to book her favourite MUA, to insisting to be away for 2 hours for her make up and hair done, to throwing tantrum for not getting what she wants, to ultimately getting what she wants...

My wedding was indeed not about me... it was all ~ about ~ her.

❤️‍🔥 was my longest friend of 20 years. We've known each other since secondary 1.

All these years, she has been branding herself as MY BFF, instead of "we are BFFs". If you think about it the English-language way... wouldn't you question,"Why does she only says she is your BFF? It's like she self-claim this identity, and you're not her BFF. Because SHE IS YOUR BFF, she says. It's not two-way." It took me 20 years to realise this manipulative expression.

When I told her my boyfriend proposed, she was very excited and offered to be my bridesmaid.

I made the mistake of letting that happen. Knowing her for 20 years, I jolly well know she is not suited for such an important role. (And I think it's fine if the bride thinks so because personality and character plays a part. Just because your friend didn't ask you to be her bridesmaid doesn't mean she doesn't value you.) But ❤️‍🔥 was so into it. She kept telling me,"What do you need me to do? You just tell me. I'm your BFF, I'll help you ensure your wedding is perfect!"

[I didn't bother my bridesmaids with anything, except for the AD. I did all the sourcing of vendors, liaising with vendors, designing of wedding website / logo / photo borders / photo table, editing of photos for montages then putting them together for montages, etc on my own. which is what I needed and wanted to do.] what I really want to emphasize is ❤️‍🔥 say everything until so nice but actually she did nothing at all. she didn't even help me with anything.

Things (along with our friendship) took a turn for the worse (and the end) very quickly...
