This hack DESTROYED my Coach bag 😩😭

Never ever WRAP your metal chain strap around your bag to shorten!! The metal chain will gradually rub and peel the delicate leather inside of your bag. Once it starts peeling, it never stops. And there is no way to salvage the bag. Yea just look at my Coach bag 😓 It started with a small area like 1cm x 1cm but eventually grew till like this. I did buy a shorter chain on shopee later on but the damage has been done.

TIP: Buy a matching shorter metal chain to replace your bag chain. If your original chain is brass colour, then buy a brass and not a gold one to replace it, else won't match the rest of the hardware.

TIP 2: I also don't recommend wrapping your leather shoulder strap around your bag as the leather strap will eventually crease, crack and weaken at the folded spots.

If anyone knows how to save my bag, please let me know. I tried those leather sticker but eventually it unpeeled and more leather came out 😩😭
