After watching @Overkill SG YouTube video of Kuching, we wanted to explore the place ourselves so we booked a weekend (+ a weekday hehe) trip there! I'll review the places I stayed in and visited, and food I ate + their prices in this post.

💰 Prices in SGD unless otherwise stated:

- Flight tickets, Round trip from SG: $117 via Airasia/Scoot (expect delays... our 2 flights were delayed 1hr each)

- Pullman Hotel: $75/night for 2 pax in a normal room

- Damai Beach Resort: $129/night for 2 pax in the Hilltop Seaview room

- Klook Bako National Park + Sea Stack Tour: $88

- Sarawak Cultural Village: RM90 for foreigners

- Sumiran Eco Resort Combo Package: RM65

📍Other places we went also:

- Ceylonese Restaurant 3.5/5.0

- Buntal 88 Seafood Restaurant 3.5/5.0

- The Spring Shopping Mall

- Vivacity Megamall

- Carpenter Street

- Kuching Waterfront

- Cat Statue

- Darul Hana Bridge

- Mama Su Kek Lapis (must-buy souvenir!)

We flew there on Friday night after work and took a 10pm flight on Monday back to SG. Not enough time to explore the city + outside the city. I'll definitely go back to explore Kuching city more and to chill in a more laidback pace of life.

Recommend for people who are looking for a more laidback place to escape to nearby Singapore. Think chill city + immerse in nature + relax at beach resort. Do manage your expectations as this is not similar to Bali beach or Bangkok city. My honest review.

The perfect time to visit Kuching is the months April to October; which are the driest and warmest months. 4 days 3 nights is quite sufficient to explore everything.

Shoutout to the amazing people we met at Kuching, who are so warm and welcoming and helpful 💕
