🥧 Emperor’s Puff

Served fresh and hot. Very affordable and comforting snack in the cold but tasted pretty average. Custard was a little too liquid-y for me but appreciate that it was light and not overly sweet. Beware of the piping hot custard that would be oozing out!

🍝 Bar Totti’s

Waited 1.5hrs to secure a seat as we did not book but we were pleasantly served by a warm and kind waitress. Wood fire bread w burrata is a must try. Bread was lightly seasoned and its texture hits the right spot with a mix crunchy char on the side and chewiness in the center. Buttery bread paired perfectly with the burrata cheese. Reginette Crab Pasta was another dish that was recommended to us. It was flavor bomb, served with generous chunks of crab meat mixed in tomato based sauce. Pasta texture was very springy and al-dente, came in a unique ribbon-shaped strands. Highly recommended to give this restaurant a try even though it may be a little pricey. Loved the vibe of the alfresco dining seat we were given as well.

🍰 Black Star Pastry’s Strawberry Watermelon Cake

Titled as the world’s most instagrammble cake, I was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment as the taste did not match the price point. The aesthetic was indeed very pretty but I felt like the watermelon (which was the key selling point) did not blend well with the rest of the cake. Without the watermelon, the cake was pretty delicious but still not worth the price for me. 🥹
