Things you should look out for on your first job

Previously I shared about some Interview tips that helped me land my first job since graduation and it’s been more than a month since I started being a #CorporateGirlie 👀 I have learnt so much within the span of 1 month and I just thought that I would share my experience and things that I’ve learnt❤️

Be prepared

It is normal to be stressed about going into something new but just remember that everybody will be going through something similar. The most you can do is to be prepared both mentally and physically. Starting out may be difficult but it will get better! Don’t be afraid of asking questions (in fact its better to ask as many questions as you want since you are new).

Make friends

When you’re new, try to be open and make as many friends/connections as possible! It’s good to make the effort when you are starting out. They will help make your working life more fun and interesting. It’s good to mingle around because you never know when you need their help☺️

Understand the culture

This is very important because you wouldn’t want to be seen sticking out like a sore thumb. Every company has their own culture and it’s very crucial to understand how the company works. This will help you assimilate yourself better when starting out😊
