chinese rice noodles and skewers ✨

saw this restaurant, HENLESHAN(Bugis) on tiktok some time ago and thought it was very interesting so decided to try it out yesterday!

we ordered 3 sets of skewers (1 set of 3 sticks ~$3.90) - beef, chicken and the corn. it came with chilli powder and another whitish powder that i have no idea what it is! the skewers itself are already pretty spicy (& tbh quite salty) so it was meh, probably will not order again… 🥵🥵

that aside, we also ordered the fried pork rice noodle (~$9.90) and omg that was actually really good, never really tried anything like that in singapore before ☺️ it came with fried pork and other ingredients on a plate, so you have to dump it into the noodles yourself. the portion was also quite big so i could share one with my friend.

lastly, the ice jelly dessert (~$5.80) was also quite interesting, never really tried anything like that before as well. there were toppings like pumpkin seeds, raisins, peanuts and glutinous rice balls. this was okay for me but not the best because i don’t really like peanuts and raisins, the brown sugar syrup taste was also a bit strong… but i think it’s worth a try tho! 🤡

overall, the place had nice ambience and a good dining experience. the food was not bad and affordable as well, would probably go back to try other variations of rice noodles and desserts! 🥺
