My two tattoos

I got both these tattoos at 18.

My first one is a lunar moth. To me, they represent rebirth and transformation. I got it to symbolize a new chapter in my life. I just had graduated and turned 18. I got it placed on top of some faint self harm scars. I really struggled during high school and I wanted to have it be there to serve as a symbol of transforming into a better version of myself and healing. Moths are attracted to light, so I got it to remind me to always follow the light and to stay strong when I struggle. Lunar moths are also blind, and can't see how beautiful they are. So I got it to remind myself that in days I struggle with my image, I am beautiful on the inside and out. :)

My second tattoo is a phrase in my older sister's hand writing. In my last week of high school, my family wrote me little letters. My sister wrote me one and the phrase stuck out to me. My older sister is such a role model in my life and I look up to her heavily and have since I was a kid. We played rugby together in highschool. In the letter, she said "if rugby had taught you anything, it is to embrace the uncomfortable. And that's what you need to do in life. Embrace the good and bad moments. Embrace it all." And that really touched me. I got it to always be a reminder that no matter the situation and moment, to embrace it. I got it to also always carry her with me. She lives 3 hours away now, and every time I see this tattoo it reminds me of her. :)

I plan to get more in the future! But these are the only ones I have right now. Thank you for reading!
