Planning Itinerary with Ease! Which suits more?

I have been travelling quite a lot these two years and would like to share my experiences when it comes to planning itineraries!!

I went to Seoul last June and started planning with my bestie using Google Sheets! There after, she found out about Wanderlog, an itinerary planning app! It became a wonderful addition but there are some parts where Sheets still win!

I would be rating based on, Effort, Convenience, Interactiveness and Cost!

1️⃣More Effort needed: Google Sheets!📝

You have to start from zero or from templates from Google Sheets! It can be quite time consuming to start scratch and research about your places to go! The worse struggle I had was to toggle between Naver Map, Tiktok, Google Sheets and Chrome itself to plan my locations for the trip. 😭 However, I like how it is customisable and you can store your packing lists together too!

2️⃣More Convenient: Wanderlog!😌

As Wanderlog is available as an application, you would just have to click and swipe to your plans for the day and follow the route given! The app helps to pinpoint the locations and you can map the best route for your plans !🙆🏼‍♀️

As for Sheets, though available in app form, it can be quite difficult to navigate on the go...

3️⃣More Interactive: Wanderlog!🗺️

It will suggest places to visit based on bloggers and gives reviews for you to add places to your itinerary!

It will also suggest the timing needed like google maps if you decide to travel by car, etc!

As for Sheets, you would have to set up the formats and codes such that it would be linked to the websites of bloggers which requires more effort😬

4️⃣ More Cost: Wanderlog💸💸💸

To fully use Wanderlog, you would have to subscribe to their plan which is quite costly if you don't travel often.. The premium features allows offline access and help to optimize your route without you manually mapping out! There are more features which you could check out in the website if you like! Also, if you decide to join their free trial, PLEASE REMEMBER TO CANCEL!!!!😰 I heard how people got charged because they forgot..

While for Google Sheets, its completely FREE!🤑 As long as you are willing to spare the effort, you can enjoy everything in Google Sheets! 🙆🏼‍♀️

Overall, if you give me a choice, I would use Wanderlog for trips to new places! But for countries that I am familiar with, I would use Google Sheets as a list to tick-off my plans! 🙆🏼‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️
