Bosong Ricecake Honest Review & Tips ✨

After scrolling endless ASMRs of tteoks on TikTok, it’s finally my turn to try the viral Ggul Tteok!

I’ve read various Lemon8 posts and selected these to try, here’s my verdict:

1) 🍠Kyungdan: Sweet potato filling tteok with cake crumbs on the outside. IMO, this is the best tasting out of all! I love sweet potato and this really hits with filling inside! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

2) 🍯Ggul Tteok: Honey rice cake filled with sesame seeds. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the strong sesame flavour, but Tteok is super chewy though! ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

3) Honey Baekseolgi: Although plain looking, the chewy texture is really unique! Paired with the brown sugar filling = YUMS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

4) 🌈Rainbow Baekseolgi: It’s very similar to the honey baekseolgi in texture but without the filling. Color doesn’t have any taste though, so you can drop this if you already purchased the honey one ⭐️⭐️/5

MUST READ BEFORE YOU GO:

This is my second visit! On my first visit, I went around 4pm and there is only plain garaetteok left 🥹 To avoid disappointment, tip is to visit before they open. They’re open from 11:30 AM to sell out, and I arrived at 11:10 AM on Saturday, 5th in line. They opened right on time, and I only waited about 20 minutes. Lots of people poured in after 11:20, and the line got long quickly, so arriving early is key! Since they serve customers 1 by 1, it’s definitely a longer wait if you visit after they open.

Is it worth the queue? If you need to queue beyond 30 minutes, nope! It’s probably something I will try once and not anytime soon.
