I was staying in London so this is how we got there!
From London, we took a flight and flew to Pisa. Basically we followed Option 1 shared below ππ» I will share our cost breakdown in the next post so stay tuned for it! β¨
Option 1: The Pisa Route πHop on a direct flight from London to Pisa. Once in Pisa, catch a scenic train ride (approx. 1.5 hours) to Cinque Terre. ππ This picturesque journey costs around β¬15-β¬25, offering breathtaking views of the Italian countryside along the way.
We booked via this website : Trainline
You can search from Pisa to whichever town you are staying in Cinque Terre.
β¨ Tips:
When you are choosing the tickets, other than the prices, look at the duration too. It takes 2 different trains to get to towns in Cinque Terre. The first train will be from Pisa > La Spezia. The 2nd train will be from La Spezia > any town in Cinque Terre. So check the waiting time in between this two trains!
Option 2: Other Routes πΊοΈπ« If you're up for an adventure, explore alternative routes! Fly from London to Genoa or Florence, and then take a train to Cinque Terre. Prices vary depending on the airline and season, but you can find affordable options starting from β¬50-β¬80. ποΈπ
We visited Florence after Cinque Terre and flew back to London from Florence. So you can plan accordingly!
No matter which route you choose, the journey is worth every moment. Prepare for stunning coastal vistas, charming villages, and a lifetime of memories! πΈπ
