$400 Olive Young Haul🛍 How to max your returns!

I just came back from my Korea trip and of course I have to sum up all my Olive Young purchases! Spent about $400 but had major savings as well so girl math tells me I earned money 🫣😮‍💨 tips below!

Tip 1:

- only look at products that are on sale! Esp if they are on ‘Mega Sale’ - 1+1 items / further markdowns from their 1st sale price hehehe

Tip 2:

- don’t buy everything from one shop~ different stores have different mega sale items and diff prices for the same product. The flagship myeongdong store was very mid, there are other olive young stores around myeongdong or even neighbourhood small outlets with better sales!

For certain items like Abib masks- I bought from non-OY stores instead such as Mask Story from MyeongDong cos it’s way cheaper!

Tip 3:

- I only found this out belatedly :( but try to maximise your tax refunds by fitting your total spend amount into a tax refund bracket! Eg. I spent $70k won but only got 3k refund back; could have split my purchases into 35k each and probably gotten 2k refund per bill! The refund tier table can be found online or in other lemon8 posts I’ve seen~

Tip 4:

- compare prices with Shopee/Lazada! I was comparing the price of rom&nd lip tints and realised Shopee sold about $2 cheaper for the tint I wanted to get LOL. Ended up buying Clio lip tint from olive young (at further markdown of S$12; shopee selling for ~ S$16)

Overall my KR trip was a productive one~ also bought so much food and snacks haha brb gaining weight while losing $$$
