🍵 if you’re applying for jobs in 2024 and want to organise your applications and application status in one place, here’s a simple tutorial on how to create a tracker using notion! Notion is free for all to use across devices and you can log in your applications easily (:

⋆˚✿˖° creating the tracker

I keep all my applications listed in a table. Create a new table-view database by typing ‘/‘ for commands - make sure to give it a name! Once the basic table is created, you can add in as many ‘properties’ or columns as you wish, depending on what’s relevant to the application/job info - i.e. job type, salary/pay, location, application status, final date to apply, etc.

⋆˚✿˖° Customising the tracker

On notion, you can add multiple “views” to databases which alters/filters what you can see. I also created views where I separated jobs I’m interested in against those I’ve already applied to (i.e., added a checkbox property on the table, and for the new view I used the filter feature to filter only the jobs that I’ve applied to or ticked the checkbox). You can filter based on job type, salary range, and more! Another idea is to create a view where you can see your applications by your priority (for this, select “group” and then group by priority - make sure this is a tag property!)
