What I regret about my breast augmentation

I got a breast augmentation in April of this year. It was something I had considered doing for nearly 12 years. I was an A cup with slightly tubular breasts. I hated wearing swimsuits, I also wore padded bras and NEVER liked taking off my top to be intimate with someone.

I decided to get my breasts done as I felt financially comfortable enough to do so, I had lost 40 lbs and had a great support system to help me recover. It finally felt right. I met with two surgeons and immediately knew who I wanted to perform my surgery.

I woke up from surgery and immediately started to CRY. Happy tears though. I was so happy to finally have breasts I felt comfortable with.

What do I regret about my breast augmentation?

Mostly nothing. I would do it again in a heartbeat. But I do wish I did it sooner so I could have felt this good earlier. I wish I went bigger and trusted my surgeon immediately instead of doubting myself. And I wish I wouldn’t have justified my decision to so many people. Getting a breast augmentation was something I did for me. If people want to believe I’m shallow or fake now, then so be it. But I know that my breast augmentation was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself, even if others don’t understand that.
