A Dark Academia

I love to read thrillers and suspense all year round, but during fall I focus on dark academia books. For some reason, I swear dark academia is always set in autumn so it just makes for the perfect setting. I cozy up next to the fire with a hot coffee and a warm blanket and I can read for hours.

One of my favorite dark academia books was actually a TikTok find. I wanted to read this so bad, that I didn’t even try to find it somewhere cheaper and ended up buying it full price at Barnes & Nobles like a rookie.

This book gives me vibes similar to ‘Heathers’ and ‘The Craft’. It’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s magical and you simply won’t be able to predict the ending. It may feel like a slow start, but the third act makes it entirely worth it.

Trust me on this one, it’s worth the read this fall.
