Weekend Getaway 2 Hours From Chicago

Did you know the Waterpark Capital of the World is only a 2 hour drive from Chicago?! The Wisconsin Dells are an awesome getaway that my friends and I went on last weekend. The Dells has so much to offer and is incredibly inexpensive! It is also an extremely family friend vacation if you’re looking for something to do with your kids while they’re on summer vacation!

We checked out a ton of really cool restaurants like Grateful Shed which is a food truck garage and Paul Bunyan’s, which is an all you can eat lumberjack experience. We checked out a few bars and the prices were so cheap!! We also did a trolley ride that took us to dinner and to bars, but included karoke and sightseeing. It was so cool!

However, the most obvious part of the trip, was all of the waterpark options. We went to Mount Olympus, but Wilderness at the Resort is awesome too! And Noah’s Ark is huge! We went down a couple of water slides, spent hours in a wake pool and floated in the lazy river. The cool thing about this place is that they also have indoor water parks that are open in the winter!
