How to avoid Cakey Foundation? 🤨

Hi there! I know the feeling where my base makeup starts to look cakey and it's not good! That's why today I will share to you a technique on how to avoid cakey foundation ❤️ let's start!!!

Here are the steps and guide!

Skin prep is really important so the first 4 steps will be about hydrating your skin so that makeup would glide smoothly later ✨

1. Apply serum! Make sure you use a hydrating one! Well, I used my Sand & Sky Australian Emu Apple Dreamy Glow Drops because this is very hydrating and makes my skin really glowy. ✨

2. Apply a cream or a moisturizer! On my case I used a moisturizer from Sand & Sky as well and it is there Tasmanian Spring Water Hydration Boost Cream 💙 This is a heavy moisturizer so this is perfect for skin prep ✨

3. Apply your sunscreen! Make sure it also has moisturizing properties and not drying on the skin. I used my COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream this time. This has Aloe Vera that is why this also can be used as a moisturizer too 💖

4. Don't forget your under eyes and apply a hydrating eye cream! Be gentle on this area and tap the product in. This area is really crucial since our under eyes tend to dry out the most. 😎

Now, let's go to the makeup proper 💖

5. Put your makeup primer all over your face or the parts where you oil up the most. 💖 I used my Ellana Blur Makeup Primer because this is thick and creamy.

6. Apply illuminator or a shimmer/highlighter. I used my Colourette Shimmertint since it also adds glow on my face.

7. Now, apply foundation in any way that you like. I just used my fingers because it is very convenient. I used my One Drop Set Up foundation because this is also a hydrating foundation 💖

Then, these parts are about the techniques!✨🙌🏻

8. Grab your face mist, make sure that it is moisturizing or hydrating and spray it before blending the foundation in your face. I use my fresh Philippines tomato glass skin face and body mist because it has hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and Arbutin. 💖

9. Blend the foundation evenly using a damp sponge and spray the face mist again to add more moisture on your face. 💖💖

And that's how you avoid cakey make up or foundation all throughout the day make sure to just set your face on the areas where you oil up the most! 💖
