Need Hawaii Food recommendations? I’m your girl 🌸

Plate lunches are a huuuuuuge part of food culture here in Hawaii. Typically, it’s one main with rice and a side (like Mac salad) but it can come in so many shapes, sizes and combinations.

This pic is one of our all time favorite plate lunch places called Da Kitchen in Kīhei, Maui. While we live on Hawaii island, sometimes we hop and get to experience the bomb food the rest of the state has to offer. The last time we went to Maui, we knew we needed to get these huge juicy Kalbi (Korean short ribs) and I got a yummy pork Katsu plate with gravy and onions.

The portions are big so maybe we could’ve shared but damn was it worth. ⭐️Overall rating: 4/5: can’t get better than this, but I did take off a point because of the price. Don’t look it up if you want to avoid sticker shock!
