😍 Don’t get me wrong,New York Public Library - Stephen A. Schwarzman Building is stunning, but one of the absolute coolest things about it is the exhibition on the first floor where you can see the real Winnie the Pooh!

🤯 I can’t be the only one who didn’t know that Christopher Robin and his stuffed animals were actually real, and was what started the whole story of Winnie the Pooh? I lost my marbles a bit when I saw it.

📚 It’s found at the Polonsky exhibition which includes items from the library’s collection. They’ve been collecting items for more than 125 years. And that’s not the only cool thing that can be found at there. You can also see, and read about:

📜 A copy of Thomas Jefferson’s declaration of independence

💇‍♂️ A piece of Beethoven’s hair

* this might seem weird, but mourners used to snip hair as mementos back in the day apparently. Beethoven’s hair held more value due to him being a slight creative genius.

📜 A police certification of the escape of Houdini

📜 The bill of rights

And much, much more!

💰 Oh, and did I mention that it’s completely free?

🍎 And for those of you who can’t make it to the Big Apple: You can read about and see the items of the exhibition online, on New York Public Library’s website.
