SUMMER IN BEIJING

Had the chance to travel to Beijing for an exhibition in the middle of August !

It was towarding the end of their school holidays so the place was packed with locals everywhere, and weather was HUMID.

Day 1:

Landed in the afternoon and headed for dinner at 📍南门涮肉

Not a fan of Lamb meat but I can't believe i ate so much Lamb that day. I don't think it was a bad dinner, maybe we just didnt know how to appreciate it 🥲

Day 2:

We headed for lunch near our accomodation,

📍门框胡同百年卤煮, tofu was silky smooth and the the soup was so tasty 🥹

Initial plan was to head to 📍中国电影博物馆 but unfortunately it was closed that day so we explored 📍朗园station It's like a creative park (?) where brands and pop-up stores could be found there I walked passed SEVENTEEN POP-UP Store while I was there too!

In the evening we headed to 📍Universal Studios Beijing. Considering it was like school holiday period at that time, the crowd was significantly lesser in the evening compared to the daytime. We took like 3 rides and I indulged in some harry potter merchandises 😎

Day 3:

Time for the exhibition! Day 1 of the exhibition and it was indeed an eyeopener. Evening we headed for 📍天安门 but we didn't do enough research beforehand hence we werent able to go in to see the attraction. HOWEVER, we did take a bus pass the attraction. ❤️

Of course, while in Beijing we had to go get ourselves some Peking Duck at 📍前门

Day 4:

In revenge for not being able to enter 天安门 we prepped ourselves to visit the Great Wall of China on this day. After researching and asking around the night before. We took didi to 📍八达岭长城. We weren't able to purchase our cable car tickets online so we had to do so at the ticketing counter there. Cable car brought us to 北8楼, took our photos and we headed down to 北4楼 to take a ride down to 熊乐园 Bear's Paradise. Then made our way to the carpark where our didi driver was waiting for us.

(p.s. we got dropped in the middle of the highway here but the first driver was nice enough to help us call and pay for another didi to our dinner spot)

Dinner was Mongolian Cuisine by courtesy of a friend that we worked with!

Day 5:

Toured the office of a Local Production House earlier in the day and headed to 📍鸟巢 for GEM's Concert! AMAZING NIGHT🩵

Day 6:

Final day in Beijing, we got some work done in the morning, then had 📍Haidilao 海底捞 for lunch. Adventurous us rented bikes and cycled for a short while to 📍THE BOX一盒朝外年轻力中心店

Last stop in beijing was 📍什刹海 Authentic Chinese Garden, Vibes 100/10 breath taking, but too many people bad connection. 🥹

And that concludes Beijing 2024, We flew back at midnight that day and landed in SG at around 6am.
