Hormones can be such a tricky thing. Thatโs because they donโt teach us nearly enough about feminine health. Most of the things we eat and use are filled with chemical that tend to make our hormones go crazy.
Not to mention birth control and how that affects our bodies as well. Balancing your hormones takes time, but the good thing is that food can be really healing, especially when we know how to use it.
I love smoothies personally. So today I am sharing with you my all time favorite smoothie for hormone health and just over all wellness. It is super simple to make and delicious.
The key ingredient here is the Maca & of course the fruitโ fruit does wonders to the body.
โฌ๏ธ Hereโs the recipe so you can try it out sometime!
What youโll need:
โข 1/2 cup of fruits (I used strawberries, dragonfruit, banana & blueberries)
โข 1 tbsp Flaxseeds (you can also add chia seeds or hemp seeds)
โข 1 tsp Maca Root Powder (you can also add either ashwagandha or shatavari)
โข 1 scoop of Collagen
โข 1 tbsp Honey
โข 1/2 to 1 cup of Fresh Orange Juice- depends how thick you like it.
Once youโve gathered your ingredients youโre going to blend them all together and then drink. You can make modifications of course and add your own flare to it, but personally this is how I take mine and I really enjoy it. I usually drink it about 2-3 times a week preferably mid morning or so!
